Demystifying the WSIB's NEER Program

This hands-on workshop is jam-packed with useful information to help you understand the NEER system and provide practical strategies for maximizing your refund. Learn how to forecast your September 2011 NEER refund or surcharge,and understand how your individual claim costs have been calculated. This session provides the opportunity to practice a numerous amount and variety of calculations, with the advantage of receiving immediate clarification and feedback from an expert. 

Part One: Introduction to WSIB and Claims Management

By attending this morning session (9:00am – 12:00pm), you will:

• Learn how the WSIB functions and how its NEER program works
• Understand the financial impact of decisions at each stage of the RTW process
• Learn tips on how to successfully pursue SIEF cost relief
• Review best practices for an employer, including a "tool kit" you can use to manage a workplace accident
• Discover what you need to know about the new "Work Reintegration Process"
  

Part Two: Advanced NEER Calculations and Case Studies

By attending this afternoon session (12:30 – 3:00pm), you will:

• Walk through an actual/your NEER statement, calculate claim costs and the pending refund or surcharge
• Analyze relevant case studies to help you understand how to maximize your refund, or reduce your surcharge
• Learn how the new 4 year NEER window will effect your existing claims
• Gain effective tips and strategies for managing all claims in this lengthened NEER window
