Intro to AODA Legislation

This session will provide you with a clear understanding of how to ensure that your customer service practices provide the greatest accessibility to all Ontarians. All businesses have to comply with this new standard by January 1, 2012. This session will provide you with a clear understanding of your obligations, and strategies to enable you to become compliant.

 


Topics for Discussion Include:

  • What is the AODA, and how it will be enforced?

  • Identifying accessibility barriers within your workplace and developing strategies to overcome them

  • Listing the 11 key steps you must take to become compliant

  • Establishing policies, practices & procedures on providing goods and services to people with disabilities

  • Preparing to train your personnel on a number of topics outlines in the customer service standard
