Fun fact about you? My musical taste is eclectic. I've been to concerts for everyone from Anne Murray to The Good Lovelies to Green Day to Hedley to Reba McEntire to The Dixie Chicks to Bon Jovi to Pink to Roger Waters from Pink Floyd and many more.

Hometown? Sudbury, ON (a.k.a. "Home of the Big Nickel")

Where did you go to school? Laurentian University

Dog person or cat person? Both

Favourite movies? Mrs. Doubtfire, Forrest Gump, Ghost, The Help, Anne of Green Gables

TV shows you never want to miss? The Good Wife, Parenthood, Bones, Biggest Loser, Hell's Kitchen

Books you are reading right now?  The Heist (Janet Evanovich & Lee Goldberg) and Unleashing Team Potential: Lessons for Managers from My Canine Friends (Sylvia Plester-Silk).  

Who are your favorite writers? My best childhood friend, who writes the most beautiful letters, in a time where the art of letter writing has been all but lost! In terms of authors: I'm a murder mystery series junkie - Janet Evanovich and Sue Grafton.

Oddest question you were ever asked as an HR professional? At times, I've been asked for advice for which I've truly had no words... I once had a manager tell me that they weren't sure what to do about the fact that used condoms had been found in the office septic system during a routine cleaning (for a system that was solely dedicated to our office). 

What is your idea of perfect happiness? Good food, good company, good weather!

Which living or deceased person do you most admire? My grandparents - all four immigrated from either Europe or the East Coast of Canada at a very young age, learned the language, forged a life and raised a family under circumstances that current generations could hardly imagine. I have nothing but respect and admiration for them.

What is your greatest extravagance? A lazy day of marathon TV watching or a getaway vacation!

What do you consider the most overrated virtue?  Silence. In the words of Sara Bareilles, "Say what you wanna say!"

Which talent would you most like to have? The ability to eradicate mental illness.

What would you pick for your last meal? Anything cooked by my family!

What do you consider your greatest achievement? Long-lasting, meaningful relationships with family and friends, despite many years and miles between us.

If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be? A dog or a cat, for certain! Eat, sleep and play all day - those buggers live a charmed life!

Where would you most like to live? Closer to family & friends.

What is your personal motto? Be yourself - life is too short to be anybody else!  

Your favourite saying? Common sense is not common!
